Another Fall, A New Journey
Wednesday will mark the beginning of classes, full of excitement and the hope of learning for most students. Professors are no different. After years at the same large university, I stand new at the gate of a different place, with a promising challenge. Wednesday will echo like every Wednesday does---yet, somehow it begs this year to unfold to unseen potential. I smelled countless semester starts, ripe with the aroma of uncertainty and fresh books. Maybe this year the smell hints of plastic, shorn from packages holding iPads; however, I can hope for learning and the glimpse of sunlight peering from library buildings and reflected on the faces of another fresh generation.

Welcome to my site
Welcome to my new blog. As an Assistant Professor of Journalism and Digital Media, I am aware of the scope and the value of social media in our lives. Beyond the personal connections of Facebook or Twitter, social media is increasingly, and importantly, becoming a place for 21st century professional networking.
My hope is to add validity, and some insight, to the professional nature of journalism and digital media within an ever-changing world. I will share my experiences, both good and bad, with you during this journey.
Stay tuned!
