BEA Conference 2013

Two of my academic papers have been accepted for panel presentations at the upcoming (April 8-10, 2013) Broadcast Education Conference in Las Vegas.  BEA is the most valued national conference for digital media faculty.

One of the papers examines the successful use of new learning technologies in the classroom while the other submission details the specific application of converged multimedia techniques employed in my Multimedia Reporting class.

I look forward to BEA each year.  It is a great time to catch up with old friends and peers from other colleges and universities.  Moreover, the conference is a wonderful learning lab for anyone who desires to learn new concepts and approaches to teaching.

Ashland University Faculty Senator

I had the pleasure to be re-elected to the Ashland University Faculty Senate for the 2013-2014 term.  As a representatative of the College of Arts and Sciences, I take this position very seriously.  The Faculty Senate at AU deals with many complex issues regarding the academic welfare of the students, the faculty and the various disciplines.

I enjoy listening to the reports given by my colleagues, as these presentations construct a broad and solid description of a caring professoriate.
